Thank you Alpena

For us our faith, family and community are the things most important. Each day we put in a full day of work and later, when that day is done, you might find us at our church, playing with our granddaughter or volunteering in the community. Diane and I believe the best way to know about something is to get involved with it and we don't allow for much grass to grow under our feet.

We do these things because that is how we were raised. We do this things because we love the community that is our home and we want to see it prosper. We do these things because we feel blessed to have what God has given us, and want to use that talent and gifts to assist others.

We do what we do not for recognition, but for love. Those who know us also know our humility.

Imagine then our surprise when we learned of our selection as Alpena Community College's Fellow of the Year this year. It was an unexpected accolade, and what made it extra special for us was the fact we both were able to share in it.
